Dylan LeBlanc

Dylan LeBlanc

People are saying a lot of things about this kid (he’s 20… yeah- TWENTY) most of them starting with “the new... *insert legendary troubadour here*. He’s signed to Rough Trade and has just released Pauper’s Field, a critically acclaimed debut that is best compared to Evan Dando at his soul-baring best. Musically, there’s more than a touch of Mike Mogis’ Bright Eyes flourishes and if the lyricism didn’t touch on the profound it would have been a waste.

I wouldn’t have been too surprised if this was a mercury music nominee if it had been released earlier in the year but the fact of the matter is it’s coming at the best time, this heart warming debut is the perfect album to get you through the winter, and if it’s anything like last year, we’re gonna need it.
