“This is a good Side Project from Conor Oberst! :D, a user comments on Having listened to them I was pretty sure this was not the case but upon glancing at his pictures I had to do a double take. Truth is, either the guy does bear more than a passing resemblence to the Nebraskan demi-god or he does a passable impression of Mr. Oberst. I sincerely hope it’s the former.

The similarities don’t stop there, obviously there’s the name; sharing 63% of his with the Bright Eyes frontman but more importantly the style. Dark lyrical and abstract themes in the form of poetry drawn out with more impetus on the content than the key or musicianship.

Recent release “Becoming a jackal” has been shortlisted for the mercury music prize for best album, so it’s pretty likely they’re about to get a whole lot more attention, get in there first.
