The Indelicates

The Indelicates

I’ve often wondered why The Indelicates haven’t reached a larger audience because I’ve not paid particular attention to them and yet they have kept cropping up in my musical periphery over the past couple of years and i’ve always assumed they were bigger than they are because, make no mistake, they are great.

Easily comparable to a UK version of The New Pornographers with Simon’s vocals akin to Dan Bejar’s and Julia’s reminiscent of Kathryn Calder plus the infectious back and forth vocalisation, it’s just brilliant, engaging and hard not to like.

They’ve got their own forward thinking record label with which they released their second album earlier this year and are building up a catalogue of great tracks, like if they played all the songs i’ve got playlisted from them on my ipod at a gig it’d probably be gig of the year for me. It would be a huge mistake not to check out these Sussexians.
