Mumford and Sons

Obviously I’ve posted on Mumford and Sons in the past but I felt it might be a good idea to make sure everyone’s up to speed not just with the up and coming artists but also with the artists that established themselves last summer and are now hold a lot more prestige on the bill. First up-

Mumford and sons

I like pretty much everything about Mumford and sons, they were just friends who were all into the same kind of music who wanted to make music together and ended up selling over a million copies of their debut album.

In the modern era their story is a rarity, having been involved in the local folk scene in varying forms, watching people younger than them themselves become established before them, Laura Marling playing on the same bill as them when she was 11 and M&S supporting her and Noah and the whale before their breakthrough.

Check out my previous writings on them here, they were one of my albums of the year and here’s the event i found them at here.

The best MP3s:

The Cave

Little Lion Man

Winter Winds
